The EJP Community team supports the work of Community Law Centres. Volunteers assist the centres by interviewing clients, writing case files, drafting letters and providing the public with information.
Community Law Centres provide access to free legal assistance for individuals of low socio-economic status. Our volunteers have the unique opportunity to demonstrate and implement their theoretic knowledge outside of the lecture theatre.
Undertaking a law degree is an immense privilege and this is an opportunity that allows our volunteers to give back to their local communities. The efforts of our volunteers are continuously appreciated, which is equally balanced by the unparalleled learning experiences that they are exposed to.
In 2020, EJP Community will work alongside Auckland Community Law Centre, Waitematā Community Law Centre, Māngere Community Law Centre and Shakti Legal Centre. If you would like to know more about the Community Law Centre in your community, please visit their website here.
