The Community team supports the work of Community Law Centres. Volunteers assist the centres by interviewing clients, writing case files, drafting letters and providing the public with information.

Community Law Centres provide access to free legal assistance for individuals of low socio-economic status. Our volunteers being placed in these centres provides a unique opportunity to gain practical legal experience in service of those who need it most.

In 2023, the Community team facilitated volunteer placements in the Auckland and Waitematā Community Law Centres, and the Central Auckland, Glenfield, Massey and Pakuranga Citizens Advice Bureaux. You can find out more about your local Community Law Centre here.
